Rising singer-songwriter Onoleigh is stepping into her artistry with a hard-earned clarity and confidence. An Illinois native, she began making regular trips to Music City at just 16, eventually earning a spot on the famed Broadway circuit. Performing covers night after night for packed rooms, she learned how to command a stage with her captivating vocals and undeniable presence.
Behind the scenes, she was just as driven – immersing herself in songwriting and carving out a sound that’s entirely her own. Onoleigh brings a grounded perspective shaped by emotional clarity and lived experience. Her music balances vulnerability with conviction, pairing compelling storytelling with a soulful intensity that cuts through the noise.
Onoleigh released her debut EP First Rodeo in 2025, which has already surpassed one million streams - marking a defining breakthrough. Co-writing all five tracks, she showcased “bold, emotionally charged” (All Country News) lyrics through “powerhouse vocals and vivid storytelling” (Tennessee Star), delivered with “remarkable force and confidence”(MusicRow). She carried that momentum onto the stage, delivering electrifying live performances and sharing bills with artists like KT Tunstall, Smokey Robinson and John Oates, among others.
Now, Onoleigh is stepping forward as her most realized self, with a sound that blends the vivid storytelling of country music and the emotional depth and ease of soul. She is currently working on her forthcoming project, expected later this year. Collaborating with 5X GRAMMY®-nominated producer, engineer and mixer Paul Moak, this next chapter showcases her signature powerhouse voice with a newfound intimacy and honesty. Offering an early glimpse with “Never Beg A Man” and forthcoming single “Copy & Paste,” arriving May 15, Onoleigh isn’t just defining her own lane, she’s building a bridge between who she has been and who she is becoming.
Rooted in authenticity and driven by purpose, her work extends far beyond the stage. A graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in social work, Onoleigh’s instinct to connect with people is woven into everything she does. That resolve comes to life through OVATION, the Nashville-based live music series she founded to spotlight original artists while partnering with nonprofits and community-driven causes – creating space for music to give back.
